31 cent scoops

How great it was to be behind the counter. My night was filled with "can I get umm......umm......whats good?"

WHATS REAL GOOD!?

31 cent scoop night was okay to work. Very tiring, very messy, but very fulfilling. The store was packed and the lines were long.

but we give chance

*chances

haha

hope everyone sleeps tight.

Neptunes Vid.

So, since EVERYONE posted a blog, I felt obligated to do one myself. Here's a few vids featuring Chad Hugo, one half of the Neptunes, my favorite production team. The first one is him and Justin Timberlake singing "Those Were the Days". I just always thought it was smooth, well at least the piano part, not so much Chad's singing. The second vid is Maroon 5, doing a cover of Pharrell's song Frontin' at a Grammy Party with Mos Def and Chad Hugo. It slowly transitions into Bonita Applebum by A Tribe Called Quest, which is a song I love. It's a rare video and took me a while to track it down after it was deleted from youtube a few years ago. So Enjoy.

BTW, a quick shout out to Gianina Applebum! =]
This one's for you:

The Dark Knight

Photobucket

Well since everyone else decided to post today, I will too. A movie thats coming out [but not like that] in 2 and a half or so months is the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight". I have been so hyped up for this movie, and that hype started to build up again recently last monday. TDK had a viral site that counted down the hours to a DK trailer. When the clock struck 5:30pm, in Los Angeles, a group of people needed to follow directions in order to find the location where the new DK trailer would be shown. Since I could not go to LA myself, I waited for the trailer to show up on youtube, which it did that very night. The trailer was pretty good, just not AS good as the first one; even though I can't really judge since the "official" new trailer comes out sunday [can't wait]. New DK things have been popping up on the interwebs recently such as new posters, but to top it all off, the very same new DK trailer has been "JOKERIZED".

The Joker is THAT DUDE when it comes to Batman villains and its such a shame to think that Heath can not play the role of The Joker [or any other role] anymore. So hyped up, can't wait till July 18, 2008. =D

it's gonna be a long night.

I'm gonna be online for a while tonight and I know anyone who has to do Aleks feels my pain =/. I strongly dislike Aleks and I think everyone who has to do it would agree. I would use the word hate, but then I would be breaking one of my phrases I hate the word hate. haha! But on a brighter note, after tonight we can all say goodbye forever Aleks! Unless anyone would still continue doing it, considering all accounts expire like in September...but I doubt anyone would.

I haven't written here in forever only because I couldn't think of anything to write, but today I have something to share :]. It's basically a song that's important to me and I choose to write about it today since it's the 30th. I can't believe it's almost been a year. Anyways, Passion's song Well Done can basically relate to anyone, I think. So, all I have to say is enjoy the times you share with the ones you care about and cherish the little things in life people do outta love for YOU! =D

"Too many times in our lives
do we take things for granted
I dont understand it, no
When its right in front of our eyes
Thinking they would be here for all times"

Well, I gotta go back and do some more math. I know, how disgusting that is right?! But it's gotta get done...

^still w/o a nickname here.

^^scratch that. i'm all of this here: kaibigan, favorite ireneee, & introducing a new one to the list...autobot! haha.

ahh Zoolander

Since I know you guys have probably missed me, in my somewhat extended absence from this blog. And for this I would like to apologize. Seeing as I am now making my long awaited return post, I might as well make it about the greatest movie on Earth. Zoolander, this movie may quite possibly be the funniest movie ever made and all five of us would attest to this. We could go on for days quoting the movie thanks to its abundence of ridiculously funny lines. In actuality there is no reason for me to explain myself, nor to explain the obvious greatness of the movie. I'm willing to say that the majority of people that have seen the movie would agree with the statements I have made in this post. For those of you who have yet to see the movie, you fail!!
That is until you see it and realize greatness while you are in its presence. Now please enjoy this compilation of a few of the hilarious scenes from Zoolander(credit for the video to DTFILIPINO).

Tough Week

This week has been pretty rough on all of us, but hey...what can you do.
Just a reminder for tonight that if you lucky ones get the chance, go to baskin robbins. Get some enjoyable ice-cream. It'll taste good and your pockets wont be empty (cuhh).
Just because i love you guys, do your I-math. Finish your bridge. Prepare for 2 hours, unless your far (though it doesnt hurt because procrastination kills). Turn in Purthers Text Book. Art exhibit. Ogden math stuff.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...

Tell your friends you love them :]

Shoe of the Week: Nike Zoom Kobe III Duke

So here's the Nike Zoom Kobe III (3) in a special colorway for the Duke Basketball team. Apparently, Kobe requested for Duke to be outfitted in a special colorway of his shoe for the big tournament. And this is the end result. There are two versions of the Duke Kobe III, a white/blue version for home games and a black/blue version for away games. This is the away version, which I prefer. Sadly, Duke was eliminated quickly from the tournament and was only able to wear this shoe twice. And on both occasions, by one player, and only in the white/blue colorway.

Review: Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Tour

Sorry for the lack of updates, it's been a hectic week for all of us here at the Thai Tea Theory. But luckily, I was able to attend Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Tour. The show features performances from some of my favorite musical artists out there. Kanye? N.E.R.D? Lupe Fiasco?...I could care less about Rihanna. The show was amazing. It started out with Lupe Fiasco as the opening act, followed by N.E.R.D and Rihanna, and closing out with Kanye.

Summary: Lupe came out with a lot of energy, performing some of my favorite songs, including "Paris, Tokyo", one of my favorite songs of the moment. N.E.R.D was able to carry on with the Lupe's energy and really got the crowd hyped up, performing a few songs off of their new upcoming album, "N.3.R.D." I loved the performance but really wished that they would have performed "Run to the Sun". That would have made my night. I'm not really a big fan of Rihanna so...I took a bathroom break and made some phone calls during her set. haha but I was able to stick around and watch a bit of her performance. It was ok, like I said, I'm not really a fan of her work. When Kanye came out to perform, the crowd went nuts. 'Ye performed for a good hour and a half straight across a huge transforming stage filled with lights and effects. I really enjoyed watching Kanye perform. He was able to perform all of my favorite songs from his new, and old albums. It all capped off with Lupe and Kanye performing "Touch t he Sky" in the end.

Overall, I loved the show, I could do without Rihanna, but you gotta take the good with the bad right? If you can find tickets, I suggest you go. It's a bit pricey but I thought that it was well worth it. Ehhh, couldn't leave without a $40 N.E.R.D shirt...

Relay For Life

This Saturday was the Relay for Life, Pomona at Cal Poly Pomona, and since 4 out of the 5 of us chose to attend it, it warranted mention in our blog. So the Relay for Life is basically a relay that aims to raise money and support for finding a cure for cancer. It was a terrific experience for all of us not only because it was for a great cause but also because it was a lot of fun. We were around a lot of great people and nice people who weren't boring, and there was even free stuff. Free Starbucks, free cookies, free food, free music, and best of all free happiness. So next time it comes to the area I'm sure that we will definitely be going back, you would be surprised how great you feel after doing something with your friends for a great cause. It makes you feel like a better person and not to mention you have fun. For all of you that missed out, I'm sure there are other events of this nature in the near future and I highly recommend that you attend a few, they are way more fun than they seem at first glance. RELAY FOR LIFE FTW!

Shoe of the Week! Edition 1

As promised, I bring to you the Blog's first Shoe of the Week. I'll try to keep this segment updated weekly. So here, I present to you, the first ever Shoe of the Week, the Air Jordan 3. Personally, it is one of my favorite Air Jordans. The Air Jordan 3 was the first of many Jordan shoes to be designed by Tinker Hatfield, one of the greatest shoe designers of all time. What makes the shoe so great? Could it be the simple design? The revolutionary use of tumbled leather? The elephant print? Who knows, but all I know, is that I loved the shoe enough to make it the very first Shoe of the Week. All in all, the shoe is simply classic.

I almost picked the Air Jordan 1 as the shoe of the week. Why not have the first Air Jordan be the first Shoe of the Week, you know what i mean? But, ehhh I thought otherwise. Any objections? Thought so...

Prom?

Prom? What's so great about it? Why is it such a big deal? I still wonder why guys need to put so much effort into just asking a girl to prom, I mean its just a dance. where does the motivation behind all the blood, sweat, and tears put into a guys creative way of asking a girl to prom come from? Do guys really wanna do something nice for the girls? Or are guys just competitive by nature and wanna out do all their homeboys, and it seems like girls love the competition just as much. They wanna brag to everyone about how they were asked, and debate who got asked in a cuter way. Its actually pretty much hilarious if you ask me, it shouldnt be about impressing anyone, as long as its good for the girl and the guy then y bother to impress everyone else? I guess its cool, but for the guy, the stress of prom really ends when they find a date and ask them, after that its smooth sailing. Girls get to stress over the dress and all the other lil stuff but for us its smooth sailing. So despite all my whining and complaining about having to ask a girl to prom, lets just say its all worth it in the end. Its such a relief to get a date, and a really good one at that =D...

At the end, just like everything else in life, the hard work should be all worth it. I mean its supposed to be one of the best nights of your life, I dont know about yours but i know mine won't disappoint. It should be fun Hollywood here we come!

are you mad at me?

freaking joshua. you dont know how much you scared me today. like the car ride back home i was freaking out, asking kraig questions like, "does josh keep grudges?" or "whats the longest hes ever been mad at someone" and then when kraig said go race josh. i was like "no hes mad at me, ill let him win" but haha then again mikey reminded me that i wouldnt even race in the first place. hahaha. so you would win no matter what. but anyways i cant believe i screwed myself over by saying, "are u mad at me?" just to let you know that wasnt funny at all. but youre still my favorite joshuaaaa! no doubt about it!

p.s. since when has dante basco been 35?! haha its ookay tho =]

Edit by Magic Mike: I love how the blog's now a place for conversation...haha

Favorite Ireneee! =]

lol today was funny. Well after you got up to talk to Mikey and Kraig, I checked behind me, and the keys weren't there. So I was like "Oh ok she has them." haha and I forgot about them. Then when you brought it up, in my head I was like "I thought she had them?" Then I was like "Oh I guess not since shes going through all this trouble." haha yup yup that was funny. I already forgot about the whole thing and wasn't mad at you by the time I went to my car and was walking back to i-poly. But then you reminded me when you were like "Can we be friends again?" I was like "Oh I'm supposed to be mad at you huh?" lol and then I kept acting like that because it was funny =] But looking back that was pretty messed up that I didn't even say good-bye lol, I'm sorry about that. And the things that I said, such as "I love YOUR powerpoint idea Kraig." lol And as a matter of fact, I DID NOT meet another Irene, but even I did, you know you'll always be my FAVORITE Irene =]]

Good Catch?

So...this past weekend Discovery Channel has had a marathon of the show called "Deadliest Catch". This show features the adventures of crab fisherman and their journey to make money as they fish for crabs just off the coast of Alaska. I've watched a few episodes of it, and then I started wondering whether the job is actually worth it. So I've done a little bit of research in which one source reported that a crab fisherman makes on average 40,000 to 50,000 dollars annually, and another that said they can make up to 150,000 dollars on just one trip out. I mean I guess they do it because they love it and there is a chance that they will make a lot of money, just like any high risk high reward profession. Personally I wouldn't think its worth it, with all the hard physical labor, cold weather, time away from home, and chance of death Im not so sure it is worth the money. And plus if you were to only make 40,000 it sounds like you would be needing a job when your not out fishing, so if its a hobby, well I'm sorry I'll stick to basketball, at least it wont kill me. Just my two sense on this topic.

A Moment of Clarity

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to what this blog is about. In all honesty, I really don't know what to tell you. I guarantee that most of the things posted on this blog will be random. I mean, you've got me, CBK, Ameen, Irene, and Josh, what do you expect? And we've got a few new bloggers coming along that are just as random.

Personally, I'll probably post shoes, music and an assortment of hits, rarities, and remixes. You'll probably get a shoe design or drawing from me now and then too. As for the rest of the crew, I have no idea. Who expected Yoda and Dante Basco to be posted up in the same blog? I sure didn't.

We created this blog to just post...anything really. From everyday occurrences to things we find on the internet. Hope that clears everything up for everyone.

DB Movie

Cause you know who likes DBZ, I HAD to write about it =P
Why do I have the BIGGEST feeling this movie is gonna fail? Lets see, its a dragonBALL movie and there is a teenage Goku going to SCHOOL... Where his best friend is NOT Krillin, and some MADE UP NEW CHARACTER instead. Krillin isn't even in the movie -_- The character playing Goku's hair is NORMAL, even though there has been rumors that Goku's hair is going to be "CSIed" haha, but I doubt it. And I still can't wait to see what Piccolo looks like. They changed the story line SO much, but thats still not gonna stop me from being like the first one in line to watch this movie. RD 8-15-08

American Gladiator Day

ahh yea...American Gladiator Day. Boy were we hyped to get out there to the taping of American Gladiators. Phew V.I.P. seats to watch American Gladiators and get an up close view of all the gladiators and HULKAMANIA BROTHER! What more could we ask for. Oh yea we saw Laila Ali, but we werent really feeling her too much. Was it worth it? Considering it was free besides the drive, hell yea. We got to see Hulk and people playing with huge Q-Tips. The only bad part is that we all got called out, [except Josh] thanks for that Robert(not so much stupid host). We all walked out with a crush on Crush, the beautiful and strong Gina Carano. Crush could fulfill all my fantasies ;D
Ms. Gina if you ever read this Holla at cha Boyee!! American Gladiators FTW!
-CBK

Edit by Magic Mike:
For the record, I thought Crush was OK, she wasn't that great...

ahh yeah.

To our readers out there,
We love you, well I do at least :]
But let's talk serious biznazz. Let's school each other on what it takes to be an enlightened individual. What makes you an individual? I always hear about how people want to be recognized as an individual, but do you really stick out that much? Or are you just another face in the crowd? A huge step was hip-hop and skateboarding intertwining, what was the deal!? I mean I don't mind it, but skateboarding doesn't feel the same as it did 4 years ago. It's cool seeing assclowns on a board posing (i'm hating, please forgive), but then theres people who love it no matter their skill level. I love Lupe and all, he's a brother. But was rapping about skating the right move? For him at least? I can't really decide if TK's diss was legit, but he is a better skater by a long-shot. Mike Mo is where it's at right now, look out for any videos with him (Pick up "Forecast" loves).
Oh yeah, start buying your chocolate shirts loves. Chocolate is where its going to be at forever <3

Ricco Tizio

Now Mike seems to have forgotten that we have not yet informed our readers of Ricco Tizio and the extent of it, therefore that joke probably never hit home with any of you. The video above shows the very unique and original clothing line Ricco Tizio. I'm sure all of you are intelligent enough to realize why we find Ricco Tizio hilarious. "The built in Jim Jones chain!" Hilarious!Hopefully, for our sake Ricco Tizio lasts no longer than a Britney Spears stay in rehab.

P.S.A.

Allow me to re-introduce ourselves, my name is HOV! Well, not really. But this, is the blog of the Thai Tea Theory. Yes, don't ask us if we like Thai Tea because its pretty self explanitory.

You see, I have to RE-introduce the blog, because CBK over there...he kinda...set us off with a bad note. CP3 for MVP AND we live in LA(not Louisianna)? BLASPHAMY! You might as well put on that Ricco Tizio, CBK.

I mean, I don't think Kobe will win MVP, regardless of how well the Lake's Show is doing. As much as I'd like for him to win it, people just hate him too much to give him the MVP vote. (It may seem like I'm getting away from the point by bashing Kraigs love for Chris Paul then saying Kobe's not winning. But rooting against kobe is just wrong, like CBK's spelling "Needles"? Haha) In 2004, PJ Brown, then New Orleans Hornet, received a vote for MVP, 1 more than Kobe. PJ Brown people. Who the hell votes for PJ Brown as MVP? If history repeats itself, I guess Kobe's destined to fail with this one. BUT its okay, he'll grab that Finals MVP.

-Magic Mike

Lakers vs. Hornets

Well, this is the first post on this new blog. The story behind The Thai Tea Theory is just us wanting to have some fun, and oh by the way we love thai iced tea. Lets start it off right.

Lakers and Hornets play tonight. The Hornets are 1.5 games ahead of everyone's beloved Lakers and the great Mamba for the #1 seed in the stacked Western Conference Playoff race. Needles to say this is a huge game for both teams and the MVP race. The Lakers chance of winning the game tonight is about as real as Kobe's leap over the Aston Martin (yea im pretty sure it was fake). Hornets should win tonight, and of course
CP3 for MVP!!
