Goldberg>______

Photobucket Image Hosting Photobucket Image Hosting
OK, I'm not gonna lie, Bret Hart was the first thing that came to my mind when I set my previous blog's title.
BUT notice there is a difference in words.
"The best there ever was" has a lot of similarities to
"the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be."
But they ARE different.
I do see where you are coming from [nh] however.
That would be like saying that Goldberg was the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.
That just doesn't click.
I'll just say that Goldberg was the best wrestler in history.
[how's that sounds for you?] lol
I'm still mad that Bret concealed a steal plate under his shirt
and tricked Goldberg into spearing him by the way...

-_-

haha WELL I can't believe it took me over month to finally finish this blog.
All because I couldn't get my scanner to work,
and all for this:
Photobucket

waited 3 hours in line to meet him and get his auto.
but it was worth it Photobucket

Finally!: Paris, Tokyo Remix

So, about a month or so ago, Lupe Fiasco uploaded the picture shown above on myspace. People waited. But the song has not released until today. I, personally was very excited for this song. Paris,Tokyo was my favorite song off of Lupe's second album "Lupe Fiasco's the Cool". And to throw Pharrell (1/2 the Neptunes, my favorite production team EVER), and Q-Tip from ATCQ? My mind was blown and I was excited. But after actually hearing the song, I was pretty disappointed. I was expecting much more, at least a brand new beat. I dont know, maybe I set high standards for this song. Standards that were unreachable. But oh well, its still an alright song.

To the Sun....

So, it's Thursday. And...we haven't really updated on how the concert when. BUT pics have FINALLY been uploaded. (Thanks G) And here it is.

The concert was great. We lagged it big time to get there but we still had some sick seats...ummm standing spots?... The show opened with Chester French. Funny how the crowd was all ready, thinking that it was gonna be N.E.R.D. But to the crowds dismay, it was just Chester. Surprisingly, the group wasn't that bad. I didn't mind listening to them. Maybe it was just the fact I was really really ready for N.E.R.D to perform took away from the performance. But in retrospect, they weren't bad at all. I'd give them another listen...maybe not buy an album...but give it another listen. haha.

As for N.E.R.D? Nothing short of DOPE. The crowed was wild...(WHAT UP KRAIG?) They opened up with Anti-Matter and kept on rolling. AND YES they did throw Run to the Sun into the mix. (checks off life goal list)

Common was just as nice. Random white dude with no rhythm aside, I actually liked some of Common's new stuff. Like "The Eye" and "Gladiator". I really wasn't sure how I would feel about his new material. Even with the majority of them being produced by the Neptunes, I wasn't fully convinced that they'd be nice. But, I liked a few. I still can't get over the fact that Common says "yeah yeah i philosophize on top of 'ya" Oh well, I'll have to listen to the rest of the CD before I can say anything about his new stuff.

Now, on to the PICS!!

Run, Run Run...

I'm excited. For once, something that I've planned for a long time is actually gonna happen. If you knew me, you'd know that shit never happens the way I plan it. Vanessa Hudgens? Ameen's Present? Prom Date? Girls in general? hahah But back to the point. N.E.RD./Common IN CONERT! Half of the Thai Tea Theory will be in attendance and will be sure to have fun.

What am I most excited about? Run to the Sun. People don't really get it. But Run to the Sun is my favorite song of all time. EVER. It has been since 6th grade and will always be my favorite song. I don't really know what it is about it. But I never get tired of the song, no matter how many times i listen to it. Theres just something about this song that pulls me in. Its a smooth track, but the drums hit. Maybe it's the Pharrell falsetto. The "Neptunes Sound"? I really don't know. But whatever it is, I lovei t.

I remember the first time I heard this song. I was in my bedroom, sitting on my bed doing my 6th grade homework, with headphones over my ears which were connected to a hand held radio. Yes, it was being played on the radio. On 100.3 the Beat at that. hahaha. It's been my all love ever since. If there has ever been one thing in my life thats been constant, it would be Run to the Sun always being there for me. If it were a women, I'd love her forever. hahaha Well, until Pharrell and Chad produce another track that would rival the EPICNESS of Run to the Sun. (just kidding baby, i love you! LOL!)

So enough of this Run to the Sun slurpfest. Here's a vid of N.E.R.D performing Run to the Sun Live.

It was a good day.

Well its about 2:10am as I write this.

ummm scratch that. I fell asleep before I got to finish this blog. My iPod lost connection and I was too lazy to finish haha. Well, point is, I couldn't sleep last night. Was it the Gatorade? Or the adrenaline in my system after finally killing this stupid fly that kept bugging me? Ehh I really don't know. Maybe it was just a good day.

Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a long time.

Breakfast with Gianina?+
Long random talks+
WoW?+
Brian and his Batmobile+
taco burgers+
Being posers in advantis+
Cue!?=
A good day

Pretty random day. And yes, I went to Cue for the first time ever. Gianina, Brian and I lost our Cue virginity together. And don't worry, I used protection. LOL Sorry Irene we will go one day. Back to the point of the whole blog. I had a pretty damn good day. Something I really needed after everything that's been going on lately. Thanks Gianina and Brian. Keep on stuntin'

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be

Now, Goldberg was my favorite wrestler too. But come on now...
It's Bret Harts damn tag line...
"The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be"

Now, granted the fact that he wasn't as killer as Goldberg, doesn't mean you can straight up jack his line and use it to describe another wrestler. And the fact that Bret Hart handed Goldberg one of those losses is pretty cool...despite the fact that it took the NWO to interfere in order for Bret to win...

But regardless of all that stuff. Bret Hart

"The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be"

(^Yeah, i said that shit three times in one blog. AND WHAT?!)

-Magic Mike

The Best there Ever was

Well ok since SOMEONE stole my blog, I'll post one about something else. =P

Well I'm here to pay tribute to the greatest wrestler there ever was.
He has been my favorite one ever since I was a little kid.
I grew up watching him and he was just the BEST.
Undefeated, except for 2 matches where the first time he was TASERED,
And the second time where he was hit with a chair.
Yeaup, spear... OF COURSE I'm talking about GOLDBERG.
*ǝuǝɹı*WOW*ǝuǝɹı* he was just amazing.
How could you NOT love Goldberg?
With his original music and literally explosive entrance,
Strength, Speed,
To his Undefeated streak,
I remember watching this match when I was little, maybe 7.

Need I say more?
Goldberg JACKHAMMERED the Giant [Big Show] !!
He picked up the 7'4" foot, 5 Hundred and Fifty pound giant of a man
STRAIGHT into the air.

And for your treat,
And just cause I love watching it,
Heres Goldberg's Entrance =]

And to think, I was lucky enough to meet this man =]
WHOS NEXT?

Just Amazing

Well since I haven't posted anything in a bit,
I thought my next one should be about something
important. And it is....
Well to me at least lol.
It sometimes amazes me what a person can do by themselves with right attitude and motivation and with this superbly cloned Batmobile, this amazement has happened once again. Bob Dullam who makes specialty costumes, props, and statues for a living is credited with the creation, he created it in his home Garage using only photographs from the film.
The project cost between $50K and $70K in total. Dullam has also made and batsuit and he also plans to start on a Batpod next. Sorry to say for anyone wanting to get hold of it, it is definitely NOT for sale.

Dedication

Well, I find it kinda funny that I find myself in this situation as often as I do. Here's how it goes "Well, I figured no one has really updated the blog lately so I figured I would...blah blah blah (insert shoe reference/music video/funny story/picture here)" Yup, thats how it goes. I guess most of us have been too busy to really post shit up on the blog. But oh well, I've had a lot of thinking time lately and I really have nothing better to do at the moment. I woke up at 5am to watch the USA basketball game only to see that it wasn't on NBC so I went back to sleep. Then I woke up at 8 to see if it would be on NBC now. But now the problem was that I couldn't sleep. Too busy thinking, thats right, just thinking. It was still early enough in the day for me to be hella sleepy but too late in the day for me to just straight up knock out. So here I am now, sitting in front of the computer screen at 9:15 in the morning typing this up, minutes after finding out that the basketball game was showed on USA.

So...why's the blog called dedication? You'd think it'd be something symbolic or deep and what not but it really isn't that complicated. Ever since the end of the NBA season, I've been looking forward to USA basketball to start. Well it started late June/early August. And due to the games being played in Beijing, all the games have been played ridiculously early in the day with the times ranging from 12am to 10 am in the morning. What's my point? My point is that I've dedicated myself to waking up to watch these games. And, it gets hella tiring. I took the preliminary games for granted, knowing that they'd show replays of the game later in the day, but damn I miss it now. But you know I'm still down to wake up early.

USA for the GOLD, BABY!!!

There was a man who lived in Nebraska [at the time].
And at night, he thought he saw a head shaped figure
looking through his window.
And when he ran outside to see what it was,
nothing was there.
He thought it was a peeping tom
that was trying to look at his teenage daughters.
Well he set up a camera to record it,

Shoe of the Week

SO, after a very long hiatus, I have finally decided to bring back the Thai Tea Theory's Shoe of the Week. The reason I kinda stopped doing the shoe of the week was because nothing really stood out at me. No shoe had amazed me enough for me to give it recognition. Of course there was the McFly Hyperdunk but, I didn't wanna conform to everyone else talking about the hyperdunk...lol SO. Here is my new shoe of the week, a Kobe MVP version of the Big Nike. Not much info on these except that they were created for Kobe and his friends/family. Here it is, the shoe of the week, enjoy it, because it could be a lonnnnggggg time before the next one.

Random Moment of the Week VOL.1/ Gianina Quote of the Week

So, today, I'm just chillin. Start out my day on the computer after being waken up earlier than expected. I'm just here on my computer, chatting, blogging, everything. So while my friend and I are having a very serious conversation, I look out my window and I see THIS, And bust into laughter.

Well, this caught me off guard. That, up there...THAT IMAGE, is a Toyota Tundra. Not just any Tundra, but my neighbor's gardener's Tundra. And yes, THOSE ARE SOME DOPE ASS RIMS. You know you can't be in the greatest of financial states when your neighbor's gardener has better rims on his car than you do.

Past 2

So, the past two days have been...interesting to say the least. A sushi outing with Gianina and Brian is always fun. It's been pretty eventful, some good, some bad. But here are a couple of things I've learned over the past two days:

1.I need to start playing basketball again.

2.Waiting for someone on AIM never leads to anything good.

3.Gianina REALLY does dance like a white girl.

4.iPods are ruthless in the worst times.

5.I can't take Morgan Freeman seriously when he cusses.

6.I need to visit Eagle Rock soon. VERY SOON

7.Hanging out with MC JJ B FAG is no different in West Co.

8.Anne Roco can't use Mapquest

9.Azusa Ave. is WAY too long.

Edit: JOSH POSTED A BLOG! O_O

5D's

Well I haven't posted in a good while.
Funny how I seem to post about random things.

I've been on a Yu-Gi-Oh! high lately and it really surprised me when I found this out. Apparently Yu-Gi-Oh GX ended in late March over in Japan, and even before then, there have been plans on creating a new Yu-Gi-Oh! series. This series is called Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

Photobucket

This series is a newly original animation that is going to form new Yu-Gi-Oh! history. The story starts in Domino City many years after the legend of Yugi Motou and other characters. About 10-20 years after the original Yu-Gi-Oh!. It's an adventure in such a developed world and evolved duel disks.

The main feature of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is at the theme of animation, the future world of Domino City with a stratified society. It's such a modern town with high tech skyscrapers, stadiums, and even dueling systems. The city is called Neo [New] Domino City. In this series, you don't have to just stand while dueling, but ride. Riding Duels are the new way to duel now. Advanced high-tech motorcycles called a D-Wheel [Which I assume stands for Duel/Dueling Wheel] contain a built in duel disk, are used in these Riding Duels. Its basically dueling an opponent while both are riding a motorcycle.

In this story, Yusei [You-Say] Fudou is the main character. He is the protagonist and owns a red D-Wheel [shown above]. Yusei has a rival named Jack Atlas, who happens to be the Riding Duel Champion. Jack stole Yusei's best card, Stardust Dragon, along with the first D-Wheel that Yusei built. Yusei aims to defeat his Champion rival and win back what is rightfully his.

So I present Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Episode One [3 parts]

value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pvsxy1wOI6g&hl=en&rel=0">

[An original character is in this episode, see if you can find out who ;)

Gianina Quote of the Week

Well, no one's posted anything in a while and, I posted a shoe of the month so... I guess I'm waiting till July hits to post a new shoe of the week. Until then, I came up with something new to post.

Every now and then, my friend Gianina says something random....VERY VERY RANDOM. Whether it be about clouds having orgasms resulting in rain...or concerts by artists who have faded off into obscurity (Jon B). Who listens to 100.3 nowadays anyways? So I decided to do a random Gianina Quote of the Week.

Gianina: and realized
Gianina: i hate obligations

R.I.P.

This Thursday, I lost a loved one, and yes i know that many people know how this feels but dont post blogs about it, BUT since i can ive decided that i would. For everyone that has ever lost someone to death you know how painful it is. Not only is it extremely painful but its also very hard to cope with. When it is family it may be harder than ever, so this bast thursday my grandmother passed away. It has been extremely hard on me and my family especially my dad since it is his mother. So tomorrow night my family and i embark on an 8 hour drive back to my hometown of Tucson, Arizona to mourn with the rest of my family and to also have a funeral in the memory of my wonderful grandma. It has just been a really rough sequence of events for me and my family. A lot of things, seemingly everything has been going wrong since this Thursday began, and i know that there is nothing that anyone can do about it, but i just felt the need to express myself because i havent been in much of the mood to talk lately. I know that this video and song has been posted on this blog before, and with similar meaning, but i feel it deserves to come back again because it's the only thing ive been able to listen to lately.

Rest in Peace grandma, I love you.

Shoe of the Month?

Irene: man mikey u know how many ppl would love to be in your shoes
Me: i know
Me: i have nice shoes
Me: duh

Well...I haven't updated the blog in a goooood minute. And I haven't done a shoe of the week in a good three weeks. The whole team has been busy with graduation and gradnite and what not. And, I'll be honest, I couldn't think of a shoe. BUT after looking back on my four years at high school. I decided to pick the shoe that did the most for me during my time spent at I-Poly. What shoe(s) would it be? I narrowed it down to one. That one being the shoe that jump started my friendship with fellow blogger Ameen.

The Nike Shox VC3.

This is the Nike Shox VC3. One of my favorite shoes to play basketball in. I bought my pair in the beginning of freshman year in the white/black/red colorway. The reason I picked this shoe is because this shoe is the reason Ameen and I are friends. Hahaha as weird as that sounds it's the truth. "Hey, where'd you get your VC3's?" Yup. that was it. And from there on, we've been talking shoes and basketball ever since...

Oh we outta time baby!

Graduation

So tomorrow is the big day for all of us. Tomorrow we all walk down that aisle and take the next step towards the rest of our lives....No we are not getting married lol. its called graduating people and as of tomorrow each of us will graduate from high school. Its funny how long I have been wanting to graduate from high school yet now that its just under 24 hours away I'm getting so extremely nervous. I mean for goodness sakes, none of us know what life is gonna be like without going to high school everyday, but what im more nervous about is making a fool of myself at graduation. I have a habit of making a fool of myself pretty much every day of my entire life, lets just hope it doesnt happen tomorrow as well. haha but im sure after its all over we will all be relieved that we are done with the mandatory schooling in the United States. So sleep tights tonight kids because it is the last night that we will have before a day of high school. Smile wide everyone because we have all made it.

"growth is scary, but often necessary"

It's so crazy how everything is going by so fast and it didn't hit me until yesterday as I was walking back to my car from I-poly. It was wierd too because as I was walking, I started correlating everything around me with something related to something that happened to me during my stay at I-poly. Like when the 486 bus passed by, I was like "remember when...." and then I saw the horses by Cal Poly and again I was like "remember when..." and yeah you get the picture. I remember thinking way back, I can't wait till I'm outta this school and now it's like I don't wanna since I'm so attached, basically because of the people there and the whole family like environment. That's what I'm gonna miss the most. Most of us complain about going to a school in a parking lot, having no sports, and so on. But I think what makes us stay are the people there cuz we're just all real close. I sound emo lol so I think I'm gonna just leave it at that.

SEE YOU ALL AT GRAD NITE :]

Love Bomb!

Well, I'm sorry for not posting a shoe of the week this or last week. But, I just can't think of a shoe that would be worthy enough to be the shoe of the week. But, there is something that has blown my mind. For the last month, I've been waiting on the release of N.E.R.D's third album "Seeing Sounds". I've very excited. N.E.R.D is one of my favorite groups out there. AND THIS?! THIS RIGHT HERE? is love bomb...my favorite song of the moment. Go buy SEEING SOUNDS. In stores June 10.

Phew!

All the hard work is finally over. No more worry about last minute homework or teachers last attempts to fail us. Grades are done and we have finally made it. 4 more days until graduation! Only things left are Grad Nite and Senior Breakfast. Woo Hoo! Grad Nite tomorrow and the NBA finals start tomorrow too. Tomorrow should be a real cool day. We'll keep you posted on the events of Grad Nite and Graduation and all that jazz. It's pretty bittersweet though since I think we all will definitely be missing a lot of people from I-Poly and maybe just maybe I-Poly itself. Change is always scary and so is growth but for now I'm looking forward to the fun of the next few days rather than the challenges of the next few years. Lets all have some fun though and don't worry though even though we are graduating and not gonna be together every single day, The Thai Tea Theory will not separate or end, so dont get your panties in a bunch.

Way Past Due

Well, it seems like no one's really updated the blog in a while, except for me. Which makes no sense seeing as how I was but busiest out of the bunch. But here's an update of what's happened in the past week.

My favorite Eastern Conference team, the Cleveland LeBrons were booted out of the playoffs. So here's a vid to celebrate a decent season.

The Lakers are in the Western Conference Finals, and so far, they've been killing the Spurs.

I haven't posted a music video in a while, so here's an old favorite of mine. Umi Says by Mos Def.
It's also the commercial for the Air Jordan XVI(16)

Look for more updates as our school year comes to an end.

Shoe of the Week: Nike Air Zoom LeBron 2 SVSM

This week's shoe is the Nike Air Zoom LeBron 2 in the St.Vincent/St. Mary's colorway. It's one of my personal favorite shoes from the LeBron James Signature line of shoes. The LeBron 2 is by far my favorite, and this particular colorway is my favorite out of the many that were created. This colorway was created for LeBron's High school, "St.Vincent/St.Mary's". It is outfitted in the school's forest green/gold colorway for away games. Another pair of the LeBron 2 was created for home games, but I'll save that for another week. Both feature the SVSM logo on the heel.

Shoe of the Week: Nike Dunk Low Futura

So, this weeks shoe, is a personal favorite of mine. It is one of my holy grails. And that, for those who don't know is a shoe that I would really like to obtain. This weeks shoe is the Nike Dunk Low, in a special colorway done up by the artist Futura. The shoe features a suede toe and mesh side panel along with a leather heel wrap. There isn't much for me to say about this shoe. Other than the fact that it's one of my favorites. I don't usually like Dunks, but I made an exception for this one. If I EVER had to buy a dunk, it would be these. The Futura Dunks

National Do Not Call List

ok, so here's just me letting you in on a little bit of info that i found out. tomorrow all cell phone numbers will be released to the public, which means that telemarketers will be able to get a hold of everyone's cell phone number and bug them. There is one way to make sure that they dont get a hold of your number, and that is to call and put your phone number on the national DO NOT CALL list. This isn't a joke it really works, and when you call this number you will be put on the national do not call list for 5 years. the number is 888-382-1222. if you dont do this, YOU will be charged for every sales call you receive from a telemarketer

Everyone Nose Remix

So, N.E.R.D is currently on tour with Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco. On the tour, they've been performing the new single, "Everyone Nose", off of their new album, "Seeing Sounds". While on tour, I guess they have found the time to record a new remix for the song, featuring Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pusha T of the Clipse. And the end result is a massive collaboration, much different from the original version. Although, many would say that this song contains all the elements to make it a Child Rebel Soldiers (CRS) song, the three(Kanye, Pharrell, Lupe) haven't said anything stating that this is a CRS song. Here it is the "Everyone Nose" Remix feat. Kanye, Lupe, and Pusha T.

Shoe of the Week: Air Zoom Kobe III MVP

So, in celebration of Kobe's MVP award, Nike has created a special color of his signature shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Kobe III, in this white/purple/yellow colorway. So I thought, why not make it the shoe of the week? This colorway of the Kobe III features a modified version of Kobe's sheath logo so it says MVP, rather than his usual logo. The shoe is also a modified version of the Kobe III SL. Rather than having mesh panels within the waffle like pattern on the upper, it is entirely synthetic leather. As of now, this shoe does not have a set release date, but stay tuned for updates. I know that I don't wanna miss out on these. I now present, the MVP Kobe III.

Rock the Bells

So, I missed out on the Glow in the Dark tour not too long ago, and that is quite depressing. There has been an area of my life that has gone missing for a while now, and that is going to concert. Now im excited about this year's rock the bells, the line up is absolutely amazing, tribe, mos def, meth and red, ghostface, nas, and even pharcyde., i mean what more could i want. missing out on kanye, the neptunes, and lupe is quite depressing but if i am somehow able to get tickets to this years rock the bells in LA or even in san francisco it could very easily be the highlight of my year. If you have any word on some cheap tickets hit us up, but lets just say there's no way the hype is too much for this concert and its star studded lineup. Now the only thing i need to do is actually get some tickets. if not, ill be looking at an even longer concert-less span in my life. boy do i need some tickets.

Today was pretty cool. It was the first day of 2hr presentations. It was interesting to learn about things my friends worked on for like almost a whole year. Hmm...what did I learn today? I learned that you need to be a good teacher to be a good coach and I learned about looping and all that good stuff :] You must be thinking...woah, what a nerd! Who writes about school in a blog?! Well, I just did! So yeah, this is what we'll be doing this whole month! BTW, you did good today kaibigan!

Lights OUT!

Well, I have had another absence from posting so again, a nice video to transition back into the swing of things. For quite a while four of us on this blog myself, ameen, magic mike, and josh all played on the terrific basketball team/project called Lights Out. Our school doesnt have a squad so we started one, with snazzy jerseys and a cool name. The end result of playing against grown ass men was a decent record. The video is a mixtape of some of our brightest moments made by yours truly with a lil help from some friends, oh and dont think that Irene and Blaze werent in on this hot fiyah too, Irene was an honorary teammate better known as #25 on Lights Out and Abel was the camera man for practically every game. So here it is the great mixtape, yours truly wears #1, just FYI, im F-L-Y ya dig?

Shoe of the Week

This week's shoe, is the Air Jordan VII, in the black/red/purple colorway. The shoe means a lot to me, because it was my first pair of Air Jordans. I had them when I was just 2 years old.

The Air Jordan 7 was designed by Tinker Hatfield, like many of the other Air Jordans. This shoe was worn by Michael Jordan during the 1992 season in which the Bulls won their second NBA championship. The design was based off of African Tribal art that Tinker had seen in the window of a record store. The design inspiration can clearly be seen in the outsole of the shoe, with its many trianges and abstract set up. Another little feature of the shoe is the incorperation of the Huarache Tech. The VIIs contain an inner sleeve just like the Huarache basketball shoes released by Nike. Many of you may ask, "What's so special?". Well besides the fact that it's an Air Jordan shoe, the shoe is very special to me because of the fact that it was my first Air Jordan in this exact same colorway. So if anyone out there has a size 10 for sale, get at me!
